Care built around real progress
Treatment is selected based on your goals, symptoms, movement needs, and the kind of support that makes the most sense for you.
A personalized blend of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue treatment, stretching, and exercise guidance to improve movement and support long-term results.
A focused option used to support healing, reduce stubborn pain, and help recovery in areas that need more targeted treatment.
Custom orthotics designed to improve support, comfort, and alignment, helping create better movement foundations from the ground up.
Care is individualized, but these are the kinds of problems and patient goals that often bring people in.
Neck tension, upper back tightness, headaches, and the effects of long hours sitting or working at a desk.
Patients who want to support recovery, improve mobility, and stay consistent with training, sport, and everyday performance.
People looking for more than short-term relief and wanting a plan that looks deeper at the source of the issue.
People who want to keep doing what they enjoy with less restriction, better movement quality, and more confidence.
Dr. Nikolas Helfrich has a wholistic evidence-based approach to chiropractic care. He believes care should be centered around each patient’s goals and needs, using an N=1 philosophy where every plan is tailored to the person in front of him.
His care focuses on addressing the root of the problem rather than simply treating symptoms. Depending on what fits best, treatment may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, stretching, and at-home exercise programs.
A Sherwood Park local, Dr. Nik completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology with honours at the University of Alberta and then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, pickleball, golf, weight training, sci-fi and fantasy novels, video games, and cheering for the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Vikings.

“I came in with a lot of neck tension and posture-related discomfort. The care was calm, thorough, and clearly explained. I never felt rushed, and I left each visit knowing exactly what we were working on.”
“What stood out most was how individualized everything felt. The combination of adjusting, soft tissue work, and home exercises helped me recover better and move more confidently than I had in a long time.”
Real feedback from patients who have trusted Dr. Nik with pain relief, recovery, mobility, and personalized care.
“Dr. Nik Helfrich is amazing! I went to see him for neck pain and stiffness. My neck completely seized up after sleeping in a bad position. I could barely move when I first met with him. I had some pain relief and improved range of motion after the first visit and within a couple more visits was out of pain and back to my full range of motion. I have had chronic neck pain from a car accident I was in 15 years ago and after seeing him for treatment, this is the best my neck has felt since then.”
“Dr. Nik’s approach is not just your typical in and out chiropractic adjustment. He spends time doing muscle work and stretches to support and maintain the adjustment as well. He will also give you stretches and exercises you can do at home to help strengthen the target area to prevent re-injury. Dr. Nik is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled chiropractor, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for injury treatment, pain relief or even just regular maintenance visits.”
“I’ve seen several chiropractors over the years, but Dr. Nik Helfrich is on another level. I came in with a lower back issue that was affecting my daily life. He doesn’t just ‘crack’ and send you on your way; he takes the time to understand the root cause and provides many different and progressive chiropractic practices that I have never heard of. He repositioned my alignment and then used pressure points to enhance the first treatment.”
“I have now learned about other treatments he has to help with my achilles tendon and my feet. Dr. Nik is a true professional and has deep knowledge in his craft. I will recommend him to anyone. Thank Dr. Nik, you are systematically improving my life.”
“Went to go see Dr Nik on the weekend to have some shoulder issues looked at; I was very impressed with how thorough he was in explaining potential causes of my problem and also how he was going to address it.”
“He did a good job explaining every step of the process and gave me some exercises to assist with my rehab, looking forward to going back to see him again.”
